Colby Himmerich, 56, of Fargo, ND was called to his eternal resting place on Monday, November 11, 2019 at his home, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Colby Lee Himmerich entered this world on October 13, 1963 in Deadwood, SD, born to Elmer and Marlene (Struck) Himmerich. He was the second generation in his family in the United States. He went to school in West Fargo and graduated from West Fargo High School.
Colby worked several different jobs throughout his life, including warehouse work, lumber yard, and later as a forklift operator at a brickyard. Rock picking was one of many hobbies along with anything else that he could use his artistic abilities on. He also enjoyed anything that went fast, watching races and working on cars in his free time. He was a Mopar man who loved the old classic muscle cars.
Colby is survived by his children, Brandi (Tyler) Himmerich, Moorhead, MN; Brittany (Kody) Brown, Jacksonville, NC; Bailey (Andy) Himmerich, Moorhead, MN; Cooper Himmerich, Fargo, ND; mother, Marlene (Don) Kjelland, Park Rapids, MN; sister, Donna (Lynn) Johnson, Fargo, ND; nephew, Jesse Arntson, Otsego, MN; and one granddaughter, Isabelle Jacobson.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents; and one sister, Antonia.
A Celebration of Colby's Life will be at 1pm, Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
