Claude George Christensen was born April 20, 1931 in Flaxton, ND to Iver and Myrtle (Boesen) Christensen. He grew up in Fargo and graduated from Central High School in 1949. He served in the Air Force from 1950-1953 (Korean War) and was married to Marilyn Olson, the love of his life, on November 20, 1951 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Marilyn passed away in 1995 after 44 wonderful years of marriage.
Claude was employed at Pierce Printing Company for 30 years and then the Fargo Forum for 12 years, from which he retired. He loved having family and friends at his lake home on Big Cormorant over the past 50 years. He enjoyed spending time at the Expressway with friends, Saturday evenings at the Pub, golfing, reading and "chicks".
Claude George Christensen, 85, died Tuesday, July 5, at Sanford Health Palliative Care in Fargo, ND.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Hancock, Fargo; son, Curtis (Kim) Christensen, Riverside, CA; four grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; sisters, Gwen (Ralph) Peterson and Carol Stensgard, and special friend Penny Strong.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Pat Hancock and sisters, Betty Koshnick and Donna Christensen.
