Clarice died on January 15th, 2025, at Emory St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness. Clarice Cynthia Sell was born to Harvey and Donna (Starin) Sell on May 31st, 1968, at St. Luke's Hospital in Fargo, ND.
She grew up and attended school in Fargo, graduating from Fargo North High School in 1986. During her high school and college years, Clarice enjoyed ice skating and taught figure skating to several young children. She attended NDSU for one year before transferring to MSUM. She earned a degree in Mass Communication in 1991. She went to work at a radio station in Fergus Falls, MN. Later that year, she became a territorial representative for Coty Cosmetics, calling on retail outlets in North and South Dakota. In 1993, she was promoted to the corporate office in Manhattan, NY, where she lived the New York life for four years. In 1997, she moved to the Twin Cities, and after a brief time in Milwaukee, she settled in Atlanta, GA, in 2000. She fell in love with the city and made many lifelong friends there. In 2006, Clarice met the love of her life, Mike Brooks, who passed away in 2021.
Clarice worked for several years as an interior designer.
She is survived by her mother, Donna of Fargo, ND; her brother, Shanon Mark of Fargo, ND; and many beloved cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey, and by Mike Brooks.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital for their care and compassion during Clarice's final days.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Universal Joint (906 Oakview Road, Decatur, GA).
