Clarice Ellingson

Clarice Ellingson, 94, of Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo. Clarice Elizabeth Westrick was born March 14, 1915, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Carl and Marie (Bredvig) Westrick. Her family lived in Fargo before moving to Cleveland, Ohio to live with Grandma and Grandpa Westrick. In 1918, they moved back to North Dakota to live with Grandma and Grandpa Bredvig for a short time before moving to Fargo. Clarice married Kenneth Ellingson December 18, 1934, in Fargo. They farmed in Absaraka, North Dakota, from 1934 to 1943. They farmed north of Moorhead, Minnesota, in Oakport Township from 1943 to 1978 and Clarice continued to live on the farm after Ken died February 5, 1998. Clarice is survived by three sons, Arnold Ellingson, Fargo, ND; Lyle (Betty) Ellingson, Moorhead, MN; and Bruce (Esther) Ellingson, Glyndon, MN; grandchildren, Keith, Darin, Kevin, Terri and Michael; three great-grandchildren, Meghan, Jack and Emma. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, two sisters, two grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law. Funeral Service: Friday, November 6, 2009, at 11:00 AM, at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Thursday, November 5, 2009, from 5-7 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Prayer Service: Thursday, November 5, 2009, at 7:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold. Burial: Osterdahlen Cemetery, Harwood, ND.
