Clarence LeRoy Spiker was born July 11, 1928 to Edward and Annie (Knudson) Spiker in Valley City, ND. He was raised in Valley City and at the age of 17, enlisted in the US Navy. After his discharge, he was united in marriage to Gladys Berreth. They made their home in Valley City and later in Fargo, where they raised four children. Clarence drove semi for a living and retired from Red Owl after 30+ years.
Clarence had a great love for the lakes, which he was able to enjoy for over fifty years, and spending time with his family.
Clarence is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Gladys; sister, Shirley Sundstrom; daughters, Karen (Rick) Matzke, and Debby (Steve Lee) Tysdal; two daughters-in-law, Susanna Von Essen and Paulette Spiker; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and sons, Allen and Donald.
