Clarence joined Henrietta in heaven on January 12, 2023. He passed away peacefully, and excited to be reunited with the love of his life.
Clarence was born September 4, 1936, to Frederick and Leona (Rath) Fiechtner and grew up in rural Lehr, ND.
On May 12, 1957, Clarence was united in marriage to Henrietta (Gall). They lived in Wishek for a couple of years before moving to Fargo, ND, to start an unbelievable ride in life. With the help of Henrietta, Clarence did a diesel mechanic program in Fargo, with minimal formal education. He became a truck service manager at W.W. Wallwork and Nelson International Trucks for over 40 years.
Clarence was known for his troubleshooting skills and the knowledge of getting things done to the best he could with what was given to him. His work ethic was second to none, and always with a smile regardless of how tough things got. He was called countless times by truckers at all hours because he would help and get them back on the road as fast as he could.
Clarence was a man with many talents. He was a long-time board member of Plymouth Congregational Church. He was a contributor to NDSCS diesel mechanic educational programs. He loved to square dance with the love of his life.
Dad was so proud of his family and would do anything to spend time with them; whether it was a sporting event, a deer hunting weekend, a Sprint Car race, a fishing excursion, fixing up a house, or even building a new one, he was always there.
His love for his family was second to none, and was always there to help regardless. His grandkids often called him about their vehicles asking for his advice. A lot of the time, he would help get it fixed as well.
Clarence loved a good whiskey coke, and as one granddaughter puts it, he had a wicked sense of humor.
Clarence joined Henrietta (65 years) in heaven and will be missed by family, Jeff (Vicki) Fiechtner, Joel (Barb) Fiechtner, James (Tamme) Fiechtner, all of Fargo; grandchildren, Heidi Fiechtner, Yellowstone, WY, Joshua (JoAnna) Fiechtner, Tuscan, AZ, Matt Fiechtner, Fargo, Vanessa (Jared) Duran, Denver, CO, Jeff (JD) McDougall, Houston, TX, Todd (Kendra) Fiechtner, Fargo, Parker Fiechtner, Fargo, Kennede Fiechtner, Fargo; great-grandchildren, Teo Duran, Naimah McDougall, Jeriah McDougall, Carter Fiechtner, Ashlynn Fiechtner, Sophia Fiechtner; sisters, Marlene Bucholz, Erma (Don) Wickham, and so many friends and work colleagues; sister-in-law, Julie, and brother-in-law, Milo.
