Clarence H. Beck, 91, of Moorhead, MN (formerly of Fargo, ND), died Thursday, September 6, 2007, at Innovis Hospital, Fargo. Clarence Herbin Beck was born January 5, 1916, in Evansville, Minnesota, son of Carl and Hanna (Bestad) Beck. He attended school in Evansville. After moving to Fargo, he took several classes at North Dakota State University and Hanson Auto School, both in Fargo. Clarence married Marcella Swanson in October of 1940, in Fargo. He worked as a machinist, until retirement, for American Steel (formerly known as Fargo Foundry). Clarence is survived by his wife, Marcella, Moorhead, MN; two daughters, Carol (Beck) Head, Fargo, ND, (formerly of Oregon); and Linda Fleming, San Diego, CA; a brother, Orris (Mary) Beck, Evansville, MN; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister and one brother. Funeral Service: Monday, September 10, 2007, at 2:00 PM, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Grue Cemetery, Battle Lake, MN.
