Cecile Gaboury, 79, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at Elim Care Center, Fargo. Cecile Pauline DeBlois was born November 9, 1929, daughter of Napoleon and Olina (Picard) DeBlois, and raised in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. She married Wilfrid Gaboury September 24, 1949, and they started a family. They had four children. In 1968, the family moved to Owatonna, Minnesota. Cecile always had a job where she could work from home while taking care of the family. She was a professional drapery maker and upholsterer. Cecile was a life-long member of the Catholic Church. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Owatonna for over 30 years. Her hobbies included knitting and pottery. She loved playing games and doing puzzles. Cecile suffered from dementia during the last nine years of her life. Cecile is survived by two sons and two daughters, Diane (Tony) Loporchio, Cranston, RI; David (Cathy) Gaboury, Fargo, ND; Jane (Jack Eller) Gaboury, Duluth, GA; and Scott (Janet) Gaboury, Blue Bell, PA; a brother, Andy DeBlois, FL; three sisters, Jeanne (Bob) Lamoureux, RI; Lucy Brisson, MA; Claire Brisson, RI; four grandchildren, Ben and Samantha Gaboury, Fargo, ND; Wil Gaboury, Blue Bell, PA; Matt (Tina) Lacroix, RI; two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Max Lacroix. She was preceded in death by her parents, Napoleon and Olina DeBlois; her husband, Wilfrid; her brothers, Rene and Gerry DeBlois; and sister, Ann Brouillard. Funeral Service: Monday, September 28, 2009, at 10:30 AM, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Owatonna, MN. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham, MA. at a later date.
