Catherine Pederson

Catherine Pederson, 88, Fargo, died June 21, 2008, at Innovis, after a brief illness. Catherine was born in Amenia, ND, to Charles and Phoebe (Solberg) Anderson. She married Hartvik “Pete” Pederson on April 14, 1950. She worked at the Powers Hotel Coffee Shop and worked banquets at the Gardner Hotel. Later, she worked for Woolworth’s in downtown Fargo. Catherine was a proud member of Elim Lutheran Church where she was active in Circle, Ladies Aide, Red Hats, Altar Guild, and many others. The last three years, she lived at Bethany Assisted Living. She enjoyed going to chapel twice a week and playing bingo. She found old friends there and made many new ones. She enjoyed spending time with children, her grandchildren, and her new great grandson. She will be missed by many, but forgotten by few. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two sisters. Survivors include son, David, Minneapolis; daughter, Kathy (David) Moe, Fargo; four grandchildren, Brianna (Tyler) Anderson, Barnesville; Jared, Cassandra, and Danielle Moe, all of Fargo; and one great grandson, Benjamin Anderson, Barnesville; and one brother, C. Elmer (Gertrude) Anderson, Moorhead. Funeral: Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at 10 a.m., at Elim Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Tuesday, June 24, 2008, from 5 to 7 p.m. Prayer Service at 7 pm, all at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
