Carole Brasel

Carole D. Brasel, 69, of Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 26, 2012, at Sanford Health, Fargo. Carole Diane Storley was born September 8, 1942, to Alfred and Farrell (White) Storley in Fargo, North Dakota. She was raised in Harwood through the 8th grade and graduated from West Fargo High School. She attended Interstate Business College. Carole met Donald Brasel in 1963 and they married the same year. Together, they raised two sons in Fargo. She worked in the office of Northern School Supply and later, served as the Parish Education Associate at Olivet Lutheran Church for 15 years. Carole loved music, cross-stitching, ceramics and camping. She also was a very active volunteer, with many years of service at Americana Nursing Home, Bethany Nursing Home, and as a MOPS Mentor Mom to name a few. Carole is survived by her husband, Donald Brasel, Fargo, ND; two sons, Duane William (Vicki) Brasel “The #1 Son”; and Daryl Wayne (Elizabeth) Brasel “The One that Counts”, all of Fargo, ND; three grandchildren, Samson Brasel, Mark Anderson and Logan Anderson; a sister, Marilynn Martell and brother, Jon Storley, both of Fargo, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents; foster-sister, June Kaufman; brothers-in-law, Gerald and LeRoy Brasel. Funeral Service: Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 1:00 PM, at Atonement Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Friday, March 30, 2012, from 5-7 PM, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo. Burial: Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Fargo, ND. Memorials are preferred to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, www.nationalmssociety.org
