Carol Jean Pfahl was born February 6, 1943 in Fargo, ND to Robert and Elizabeth (Johnson) Lutes. She grew up and attended school in Fargo. Carol worked as a nanny for a number of families in Fargo until she retired in 2006. She married Ray Pfahl in Minneapolis, MN on Sept. 4, 1981.
Carol died on December 6, 2016 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. She is survived by her husband, Ray and step-children, Stephen Pfahl, Valerie Schroeder and Crystal (Todd) Reber.
