Carol A. Klier

September 3, 1951 — August 23, 2014

Carol Klier, 62 Fargo, ND passed away in her home on August 23, 2014, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Carol was born on September 3, 1951 to Harry Cose and Vivian Cose Balfour, in Cando, North Dakota. She attended Egeland High School. She was united in marriage to Robert Jacksen on Feb. 7, 1968. Bob and Carol farmed near Egeland and raised two children, Chris and Bruce. Bob passed away on May 12, 1972. Carol then married David Klier and resided in Devils Lake, ND. Together they had two daughters Wendy and Kerrie. They were later divorced in 1983 and she moved to Fargo in 1995.

Carol graduated from Lake Region State College earning an associate’s degree in Accounting. She continued her banking education with the North Dakota School of Banking in 1995. She worked with First National Bank in Devils Lake for 12 years and Harland Financial Solutions/D+H for nearly 17 years until the time of her death.

Carol was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church of Devils Lake and moved that membership to Atonement Lutheran in Fargo. Her interests included bowling, playing cards, being an avid pinochle winner, Girls weekends with her closest friends, tending to her flower gardens, taking care of her canine grandkids and vacationing in Florida with family. A huge part of her life was centered on her family and being with her grandchildren. She was so proud of her 11 grandchildren and was happily awaiting her 12th. Her smile could light up a room, her laughter was contagious, her compassion was felt and her love will live forever.

She is survived by her four children, Chris (Keith) Becker of Bismarck, ND, and their three children, Jacob, Haley and Madison; Bruce (Pam) Jacksen of Bemidji, MN, and their two children, Magdalena and Emmalyn; Wendy (Brad) Corradi of Lake Park, MN, and their three children, Dustin, Hannah and Danika; and Kerrie (Tony) Lewis of Moorhead, MN and their three children, Vivia, Audrey, Hannah Ranney and forthcoming baby Lewis; her brothers, Paul (Micky) Cose, Roger Cose, Harry Cose Jr. and sisters, Beth Cose, Ann (Jeff) Emter and Jan (Kevin) Mueller; her mother in law, Bernice Jacksen and many nieces and nephews and close friends.
