Carol Jean Drummond, 85 of Fargo, died Monday, June 6, 2016 at Essentia Health in Fargo.
Carol was born December 22, 1930 to parents George and Clarissa (Tollefson) Tollefson in Fargo. She was raised in Fargo, where she also attended school. Carol attended Moorhead State Teacher's College and went on to teach elementary school for a few years at a one-room school house in Parker’s Prairie. She later worked for Tri-State Auction.
Carol married Joseph Drummond on July 11, 1951 at Olivet Lutheran Church in Fargo. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, and meeting with her potluck group. Carol kept in touch with her sorority, which still continues today. She also looked forward to spending time with the family at Big Cormorant Lake.
She is survived by her children, Steven (Sue) Drummond of Alexandria, MN, James (Cathy) Drummond of Oshkosh, WI, and Susan Drummond (Steve Carman) of Dunsmuir, CA; grandchildren, Morgan (Matt), Joseph, Samuel (Haley), Michael, and Jacob, and great-grandchildren, Finnley, Preston, Layla, and Ava.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; brothers, David and Richard “Pipe”, and sisters, Berg and Dorothy.
