Candace Marie Stanley

Candace Marie Stanley, daughter, sister, loving mother, died on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND. Candy passed with family at her side after a long illness.

Candy was born Candace Marie Melin in 1957 in Rolette, ND to Kenneth and Lorraine Melin. Most of her schooling was in the Park River, ND school system and graduated from high school in Worthington, MN. She was employed by Northern Telecom in Minneapolis. Candy moved to Hollywood, FL where she worked with Starkey Hearing for several years, after which she was a long-term employee of Marvin Windows in Fargo, ND. She also achieved her associate degree for medical office administration from Rasmussen College. Her greatest joy was any event in which her son was involved. Ironically, one of her favorite past times was to visit the deer, turkey, and other wild life at the cemetery.

Candy is survived by her son, Dwayne Stanley II, mother, Lorraine (Locken) Melin, brothers, Kevin (Kyounghee) Melin, Richard Melin, Rock Melin, sister, Lori (Dave) Swenson, also many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Melin.

Memorial Service: 2pm, Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND with a visitation one hour prior.
