Caleigh Jordahl-Damm, 15, of Sabin, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.
Caleigh Elise Jordahl-Damm was born October 13, 2002 in Fargo, ND to Jason and Katie (Jordahl) Damm. She attended schools in West Fargo and Moorhead where she was active in student council, dance, choir, volleyball and band. She was also a member of the Youth Advisory Council at Sanford Children’s Hospital. Caleigh and her brother, Caden, attended Kamp Kace for the past six years where she learned archery and enjoyed arts and crafts. Kamp Kace was always the highlight of her summers.
Caleigh lived her life to the fullest despite battling cancer for the past seven years. She got to experience many adventures through the kindness of multiple organizations. Caleigh touched many peoples’ lives with her never-ending smile and beautiful soul. She was always there to offer a big hug to everyone she encountered. Caleigh was wise beyond her years and had a witty sense of humor. She always had bad jokes to share with her oncologists.
Caleigh’s parents cannot thank the staff at Sanford enough for all their love and care during her journey. They became part of her family.
Caleigh will be deeply missed by her parents, Jason and Katie; brother, Caden; grandparents, Sue Carter, Fargo, ND; Bob and Shirley Kukus, Sidney, MT; aunt, Stephanie Carter, Fargo, ND; uncle, Brian Damm, Billings, MT; great-grandparents, John and Bev Carter, Fargo, ND; and many cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Steve Jordahl and Donald Damm; great-grandparents, Loraine and Gordon Jordahl; great-uncle, Steve Carter; and cousins, Jory Anderson and Chad Jordahl.
