Bruce Michael Baarstad, 61, of Fargo, North Dakota, died unexpectedly at home on January 13, 2016. He was born September 21, 1954 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fargo, ND, to Milton and Eloise (Kellerman) Baarstad.
Bruce graduated from Fargo North High School in 1973 where he participated in athletics and excelled in academics. He then went on to attend both NDSU and Arizona State University.
On July 18, 1992 he was united in marriage to Kimberlea Jo Glenn at Perham Methodist Church (MN).
He was employed by the United States Postal Service for the past 38 years where he served in many capacities.
Bruce cherished the time that he was able to spend with friends and family. He especially loved his time at their lake cabin on Devils Lake, Perham, MN. Bruce was an avid sports fan and music lover. He loved attending the MANY sporting events and musical events of his two children. Supporting products made in the USA was something that Bruce valued, along with his dedication to his three furry kids; Maggie, Mollie, and Moose.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Kimberlea; son, Branton Joel, Fargo; daughter, Kallin Jo, Fargo; mother, Eloise, Fargo; father-in-law, Joel Glenn, Aurora, CO; sister-in-law, AmyBeth (Bob) Stewart, Aurora, CO; niece, Savannah Stewart, Aurora, CO; nephew, Ryan Stewart, Aurora, CO; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Milton, Fargo, ND; and his mother-in-law, Peggy Glenn, Aurora, CO.
