Brenda Boyle

Brenda Boyle, 48 of Casselton, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at her home in Casselton, ND. Brenda Lee Sampers Boyle Bertsch was born on July 27, 1962 to Robert Joseph and Pamella Ann (Wilson) Sampers in Storm Lake, Iowa. She joined her daughter in heaven on August 25, 2010 in Casselton, North Dakota. Brenda lived most of her life in Alta, Iowa, graduating from Alta High School in May of 1980. Brenda welcomed her daughter Joni in November of 1982. She married Russell Boyle on Dec 21, 1987. Through this union, she was blessed with Jennifer Jo and Jonathan Russell Boyle. Shortly after the death of Jennifer; Brenda, Joni and Jon moved to Minnesota. While living in Minnesota she met the love of her life, Jimmie Bertsch. From 1997 to 2003 Brenda and Jimmie lived near Bowdon, North Dakota on the family farm. In 2003 they relocated to Casselton, North Dakota. Brenda attended and graduated from Aakers Business College in the summer of 2005. Brenda began working her most rewarding job with the Dialysis unit at Sanford Health (MeritCare) later that year. She often talked of the experiences she shared with both her co-workers and with her patients. She was very passionate about the work she did and the people she worked with. Brenda was active as a coach for her son’s Special Olympics swimming team. Brenda enjoyed the many blessing she had in her life from Jimmie to her children and her most cherished joys her three granddaughters and family dog Dakota. Brenda was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Jo, maternal grandparents Stanley and Jennie Wilson and paternal grandparents Joseph and Christine Sampers. She is survived by her life partner, Jimmie Bertsch; daughter, Joni Grove her fiance James Rosenbury; her son, Jonathan Boyle; granddaughters, Catilynn, Nevaeh and Micah Rosenbury and family dog Dakota; her parents Robert and Pamella Sampers, Alta IA. Her four siblings, Debbie Glandon (partner Gary Glenn) Abilene, TX, Cindy (Ron) Bertsch, Fargo, ND, Randy (Julie) Sampers, Sioux City, Iowa, and April (Mike) Lange of Schaller, Iowa, as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family members, and a special Aunt, Marsha Heinsohn. Funeral: Saturday, August 28, 2010, 2:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Friday, August 27, 2010 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM Burial: Casselton Cemetery, Casselton, ND.
