Bradley Allan Strom, 65, peacefully entered his eternal rest on February 10, 2025 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, surrounded by the love of his family.
Brad was born January 26, 1960 in Moorhead, MN to Arne and JoAnn Strom and graduated in 1978 from Moorhead High School. Brad continued to play league baseball taking him to a proud moment where he outpitched the U of M Gophers. He then went on to receive degrees as a diesel mechanic and airplane mechanic from Moorhead Technical College.
Brad moved to Montana in the early 80s and enjoyed his time in the mountains where he worked for construction and truss companies. There he also enjoyed being part of the pit crew with a Billings stock car racing circle. He eventually returned to the FM area to work at his parent's business, Strom Supply. He met and married Sheri Hanson and was blessed with two amazing boys, Cody and Austen.
In the early 90s Brad began his semi-truck career hauling fuel. The long hours kept him from where his heart was and after 14 years, he changed the focus of his semi-truck driving so that he could be home and able to coach his boys in the sports they loved and support their dreams.
Later, he met and married Crystal Bakke in 2011, and became an amazing father figure to her son Devan. Brad was the love of Crystal's life.
When the boys were all older he began to drive for FedEx Freight keeping triple trailers in line down the highway. He was proud of his career and received accolades in a tournament that took the craft of his career to a national competition.
In 2021 they purchased their family lake place which brought many projects but was a labor of love, new friends, and an absolute peace was found, especially while fishing. This was Brad and Crystal's ultimate happy place. If it was the weekend, it was a safe bet you would find the two of them there working on projects, being carefree, or simply enjoying the beauty of what God created. Between the many Bison football and basketball games, and the lake place, Brad's world was complete and he was looking forward to being able to retire soon.
July 2024 brought a new challenge to Brad's health of MDS and HLH. He fought the hard fight with all that he had and after many months of hard work and determination with hope for a healthier life, God said it was time for rest and He called Brad home during a peaceful sleep.
Brad is survived by his wife, Crystal; two sons, Cody (Cari) Strom of Sartell, MN, Austen (Michaela) Strom of Dilworth, MN, and stepson Devan Thomas of Fargo, ND; two grandchildren, Emmy and Jett Strom and a third Strom on the way; his two sisters Terri McLean of Moorhead, MN and Ginger (Tom) Reimers of Richmond, TX; and many nieces and nephews. He loved his family fiercely and we know he is watching over all of us all from above.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents, Arne and JoAnn Strom.
