Bradley J. Dehne, 56, Fargo, ND, passed away on October 11, 2024 in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo. He was born on September 21, 1968 in Fargo, ND to the late Donald and Kathleen Dehne.
Brad graduated from Fargo North High School in 1987 and from Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) in 1993. He was employed by Coaches Choice and CI Sports, working in production and sales. He also refereed with the North Dakota Activities Association for High School Boys, Girls basketball, and football.
Brad was blessed with athleticism and a passion for sports. As he grew up in north Fargo, neighborhood football and Low-Hole basketball games on the Dehne driveway were daily sporting events for Brad and Jeff. He played on the 1985 Fargo North Boys Basketball and Fargo Bombers Legion Baseball State Championship teams.
He took great pride in watching his nephew and nieces play in their sporting events at Fargo North. He was a diehard Spartan fan! He loved playing golf, watching his Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Cubs, and hosting gatherings for his friends and family. He was also deeply committed to providing endless love and care for his beloved cat, Pervus, and his dog, Tiger.
He was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2001. He fought the debilitating disease until his passing, surrounded by his family, a dedicated core group of longtime friends, caregivers, and, of course, listening to ESPN.
Brad is survived by his loving brother, Jeff (Mary Jean), Fargo; nephew, Nathan (Kelly, Hadley, Miles, Mason, and Everly), Raleigh, NC; nieces, Michelle Cusey (Cody, Natalie, and Hazel) Helena, MT, Alyssa Kasak (Alex, Henry, and Gus) Dayton, OH, and Julia Stevens (Donté), Fargo; and cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Kathleen Dehne; grandparents, William and Nancy Gussner, Edward and Gertrude Dehne; an aunt, uncles, a cousin, and a nephew.
Memorials can be given in lieu of flowers to the Donald Dehne Memorial Scholarship Fund at the FM Area Foundation or Legacy Children's Foundation in Fargo.
