Beverly Jean Johnson was born on April 22, 1944 in Cambridge, MN to Jack and Luella Johnson. She attended Mora public schools and graduated from Mora High School. She then attended and graduated from St. Cloud Beauty College.
Beverly married Ellsworth (Art) Ruud on October 23, 1965 in Mora, MN. They were married 50 years. They had two sons, Todd and Keith. They moved a few times depending on where Art was working and settled in Moorhead, MN in 1971. Beverly then moved to Eventide on the 8th, where she resided for 4 years until the time of her death.
Beverly worked in the Moorhead school district in various locations until her retirement.
If you ever saw her house around the holidays, you would see that she loved to decorate, especially at Christmas time. She had an incredible collection of Santas, snowmen, angels, carolers, villages, and more. She also loved to make many kinds of Christmas goodies, can vegetables from their garden, and share with all of her friends. She also enjoyed trips with friends to different places and she knew there was always money waiting for her at the Casino.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Art; paternal parents, Sigurd and Dorothy Ruud; maternal parents, Jack and Luella Johnson; infant sister, Rebecca Johnson, Louis DuChene Sr., Louis DuChene Jr., and Ardel Anderson.
She is survived by sons, Todd Ruud, Keith (Carla) Ruud; sisters, Barbara (Don) Sim, McMinnville, OR, Elizabeth Anderson, Sartell, MN, Bonnie (Bill) Bemis, Grand River, IA; brothers, Robert (Elaine) Johnson, Milton-Freewater, OR, and David (Cheryl) Johnson, Dayton, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
