Beverly Carlson

Beverly Aamold Carlson, 83, of Mayville, ND, died Monday, August 20, 2007, at MeritCare Palliative Care, Fargo, ND. Beverly Lenore Aamold was born on November 20, 1923, to Albert and Anna (Heskin) Aamold in Portland, North Dakota. She attended school in Portland, ND, and graduated with a Standard Degree from Mayville State Teachers College. On March 30, 1946, she married Gordon Peter Carlson, in Aurdal Lutheran Church in Portland, ND. They resided in Mayville, ND, and had three children. They enjoyed summers in Bemidji, MN, and camping. She taught school at Milnor, Finley, Portland and Mayville State Day Care Training Program. Beverly then spent ten years working in the Activity Department at Luther Memorial Home. When she retired, she spent 17 wonderful winters in Mesa, Arizona, with her sister, Eunice. She was a 50 year plus member of the Lloyd Nelson VFW Post Auxiliary. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years and was presently, a member of Mayville Lutheran Church. She was an active member of Sarah Circle. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon; and her sister, Carol Mix. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Lynne) Carlson, Pelican Rapids, MN; Bradley (Pam) Carlson, Grand Forks, ND; and Beth Ann (Greg) Smith, Eagan, MN; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Jason (Marcey Moss) Carlson; Chad (Deb) Olson, Kayleigh, Christian and Amanda; Kris Olson and Brandon; Tammy (Jamey) Berning, Tayler and Sophie; Krista (Jeremey) Cebula; Ryan (Paula) Carlson; Kayla and Brett Carlson; Samantha and Lauren Smith; two sisters, Eunice Klabo, Portland, ND; and Shirley Boyer, Bismarck, ND; and her brother, Leonard Aamold, Portland, ND. Memorial Service: Friday, August 24, 2007, at 11:00 AM, at Mayville Lutheran Church, Mayville, ND.
