Betty M. Webb, 88, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo.
Betty Marie Lykken was born August 17, 1934, in Grafton, ND, daughter of Handy and Esther (Nelson) Lykken.
Betty married Rodney Webb on August 31, 1957, at the Hitterdal Lutheran Church in Adams, North Dakota. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage.
After graduating from high school, she attended a tech school in Minneapolis, MN to become an x-ray and lab technician. She enjoyed serving in the medical profession for many years. Betty was well-known as an active volunteer in the community, including Churches United for the Homeless, Hope Lutheran Church, and the FM Food Pantry. She spent thousands of hours volunteering and served as a board member for many organizations. In 2018, Betty was awarded the Daughters of the American Revolution Excellence in Community Service Award.
Betty loved spending time with her family and especially their time at Lake Lida.
Betty is survived by her children: Sharon (Scott) Roche, Grand Forks, ND; Crystal (David) Wosick, Fargo, ND; Todd (Angela) Webb, Grand Rapids, MN; Wade (Linn) Webb, Fargo, ND; Susan (Jason) Yackee, Madison, WI; her sisters, LaVonne Hylden, Trudy Wippler, Lucille Bleakley; 14 grandchildren: Ian and Conor (Stacey) Roche; Grant (Lindsey), Hope and Miles Wosick, Grace (Adam) Sufficool; Daniel and Jack Webb; Nicholas, Thomas and Becca Webb; Lila, Magill and Lewis Yackee; 4 great-grandchildren: Addison and Lincoln Wosick, Luke Sufficool and Rowan Roche.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Webb; parents; an infant daughter, Rebecca Jean Webb; and sister, Candy Morstad.
Memorials may be sent to the Hope Lutheran Foundation, Churches United for the Homeless, or the FM Food Pantry.
Celebration of Life: 10:00 am, Monday, August 22, 2022 at Hope Lutheran Church - North Campus, 2900 Broadway N., Fargo, ND with a visitation one hour prior. Burial: Grafton Lutheran Cemetery, Grafton, ND.
