Betty Lund, 77, beloved mother, was called to her eternal resting place on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Eventide Fargo.
Betty Mae Johnson entered this world on September 3, 1941 in Fargo, ND, born to Alvin and Minnie (Groff) Johnson. She grew up on a farm in Helendale Township, attended Helendale School #1. She graduated from Colfax High School in 1959 and graduated from Concordia College Moorhead in 1963 with a degree in education.
Betty was a home economics teacher in Nashwauk-keewatin Public School for many years. She was a full-time mother through her daughters' high-school years, after which she worked at Kramer Electric and Great North Construction as office manager. She retired at the age of 72.
Betty loved her family and she enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting, and embroidering. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a woman who always put others before herself. Betty had a strong Christian belief and a love for God.
She is survived by her daughters Sheri Seefried, West Fargo, ND and Julie Adams, Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Sandra Magee, Danielle (Brady) Buchanan, Kianna Seefried, Michael Adams, Kia (Spencer) Mikesh, Mark Adams; great-grandchildren, Serenity, Alex, and Ariana Scheet; Aiden and Emma Buchanan; Isaac and Sterling Adams; Brantley and Quinn Mikesh; siblings, Lorraine Ista, Phyllis (Rick) May, Delores (Fred) Kvamme, and Al Curtis (DelMae) Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
