Betty Elaine Holaday

Betty E. Holaday was born December 4, 1940, the daughter of Alvin and Ruth Niehaus in Vandalia, IL. She was raised in Vandalia and graduated from Vandalia High School in 1959.
On January 18, 1961, she was united in marriage to Paul W. Holaday. They made their home in Illinois until being transferred with Paul’s job, which took them to Iowa, Nebraska, and finally North Dakota. Betty was a full-time wife and mother, busy raising three sons.
Betty passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.
She is survived by her husband; sons, William (Pam), David (Cindy), and Darren (Kelly); eight grandchildren, Stephanie, Kristopher, Jessica, P.J. (Paul Joseph), Lucie, Mikala, Kimberly and Gretchen; and great-grandchildren, Avery, Alivia, Huxley and Lincoln. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret (Bob) Dowell.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Sanford Fargo Hospice.
