Beatrice Ness

Beatrice A. Ness, 80, of Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at MeritCare Palliative Care, Fargo. Beatrice Ann Wiemann was born September 17, 1929, in LaMoure County, North Dakota, daughter of Tom and Samantha (Brademeyer) Wiemann. She grew up in LaMoure and attended school there. Beatrice married Bennie A. Ness on September 20, 1947, at the LaMoure Nazarene Parsonage. In the spring of 1953, the family moved to Fargo. After the children were out of school, Beatrice worked at Cass County Social Services as a case worker, retiring as Office Manager. Upon retirement, she moved to south Turtle Lake in Underwood, Minnesota, and returned to Fargo in 2002. Beatrice enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking, especially Sunday dinner for her family. Spending time with them gave her the greatest joy. Beatrice is survived by her two sons, Dennis (Joan) Ness, Moorhead, MN; Jerry (Liz) Ness, Minneapolis, MN; and a daughter, Sue (Steve) Jefferson, Tumwater, WA; siblings, Lauretta (Bob) Becker, Nisswa, MN; Donald (Arylene)Wiemann, Nimrod, MN; Ken (Mary Jane) Wiemann, Longville, MN; Bob (Marc y) Wiemann, Roseville, MN; Kathy Gardiner, Minneapolis, MN; sister-in-law, Judy Wiemann, Harlinger, TX; nine grandchildren, Wayne, Craig, Jeffery, Samantha, Jon Ness; Jasmine, Rochelle Jefferson; Joshua Hall and Steve Jefferson, Jr; great-grandchildren, Bobbieann, Emily, Abigail, Shaw and Donovan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bennie; son, Richard Allen; her siblings, Margaret Smith, Tom and Jeanette Wiemann; Genieve Bates and William Wiemann. Memorial Service: Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at 2:00 PM, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND. Inurnment: Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
