Barbara Krieg

Barbara Ann Krieg passed away November 14, 2009 at Edgewood Vista Memory Care of Fargo with family by her side. Barbara was born to Daisy and Joseph Kline on October 15, 1930 in Jamestown N.D. She moved with her family to Fargo where she graduated from Sacred Heart. She met Richard Krieg and they wed on August 10th 1953. Together they had 9 children. Barbara loved her family and friends. She cherished her thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her family at Gethsemane Cathedral was very important in her life. She will be remembered for her voracious reading, love of bridge, warm smile, quick wit, sarcasm and love of chocolate. Barbara worked as a volunteer throughout her adult life for many causes with her favorites being the children at Gethsemane and the Republican Party of North Dakota. Barbara is survived by four sons, Guy Krieg of Fargo, ND, Jared (DeAnn) Krieg of Fargo, ND, John Krieg of Johnstown, CO, Matthew (Sandy) Krieg of Colbert, WA; four daughters Kristen (Rick) Perry of Newburgh, IN, Rebecca Krieg of St. Paul, MN, Amy (Tim) Stefan of Bozeman, MT, and Melissa Borgen of Kindred, N.D; four brothers John (Judy) Kline of Helena, MT, Jim (Delores) Kline of Westlake Village, CA, Tom (Karen) Kline of Cedar Falls, IO and Steve (Ellie) Kline of Moorhead, MN; thirteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter Cynthia Krieg; brother, Wesley Kline and her former husband, Richard Krieg. Memorials preferred to Gethsemane Cathedral. Memorial Service: Tuesday, November 17, 2009, 7:00 PM at Gethsemane Episcopal Cathedral, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Tuesday, from 6:00 – 7:00 PM at the church. Entombment: Gethsemane Cathedral Columbarium, Fargo, ND.
