Barbara Ivers

Barbara Jane (Mattson) Ivers was born August 19, 1930 to Victor and Lillian (Halland) Mattson in Fargo, ND. She passed into the arms of her Savior on May 29, 2010 at her home in Fargo surrounded by her family under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Barbara graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1948. She attended North Dakota Agriculture College and joined the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She graduated from North Dakota Business College. Barbara married Robert R. Ivers on June 7, 1950 and they raised six children. Barbara loved her summers at Pelican Lake and being with her family and friends. She cherished prayer group and her church fellowship. Her prayers carried many people through life’s trials and she will be remembered with eternal love. Barbara is survived by her children, Lauryl (Richard) Stockness, Ellswoth, WI, Dana (Barbara) Ivers, Des Moines, IA, Ronda Ivers, Valley City, ND, Anna Lynn (Richard) Gunderson, Fargo, ND, Craig (Jennifer) Ivers, Fargo, ND, Victor Ivers, Fargo, ND and special son, Tibor Ambrus, Bethlehem, PA and twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Andrea Joyce Ivers and grandson, Jacob Travis Gunderson. Memorial Service: Wednesday, June 2, 2010, 11:00 AM at Believer’s Fellowship Church ~ 415 Highway 75 N. Moorhead, MN. Visitation: One hour prior to services at the church. Inurnment: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND. Memorials to Hospice of the Red River Valley or Believer’s Fellowship Church.
