Barbara Ann (Garver) Haug, 76, West Fargo, ND, passed away on Oct. 18, at Essentia Health, surrounded by her family.
Barb was born on May 31, 1940, in Bowden, ND, to Mack and Margaret Garver. She was raised in Michigan, ND, where, in 1959, she married Paul John Haug. They lived throughout the Midwest, moving to Fargo, ND in 1976.
Barb graduated from Interstate Business College in Fargo. Her career was spent working for various state agencies, including North Dakota State Crime Bureau and Southeast Human Services.
For a number of years, Barb was a stay-at-home mom. The Haug home was a frequent gathering spot for many friends of her children. Barb was very active in her children's lives -- she was a Cub Scout leader, CCD teacher, Bruin Booster, and an avid fan of all of her children's sporting and music events. In her free time, Barb enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, reading, baking and traveling to Chicago to attend musicals with her daughter.
Barb is survived by her husband, Paul (West Fargo); children: Jeff (Carrie) Haug (Fargo); Kathy (Ron) Constantine (Chicago); Jim (Kim) Haug (West Fargo); Jon (Mariko) Haug (Fargo); brother, Robert (Veriena) Garver (Grand Forks); along with grandchildren: Hana Ali; Abbie and Parker Haug; Nick and Mack Constantine; Jackson and Ben Haug and her beloved dog, Peanut. Barb was blessed with numerous brothers and sisters in-law: Jim (Angie) Haug; the late Bob (Nita) Haug; Janice (Jim) Chrisan; Pete (Katherine) Haug; Sandy (Darryl) Winternheimer; Marianne Guist; Kathy (Gary) Schams; Tom (late Donna) Haug; John (Elise) Haug and several nieces and nephews. Barb was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Ali; her parents, Mack and Margaret and her In-laws, Orel and Marie Haug.
