Arthur J. Kinsella, 87, of Fargo, passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at Sanford Hospital. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Sts. Anne and Joachim Catholic Church, 5202 25th St. S., Fargo, ND, where Art was a member. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 20, from 5-6 PM with a prayer vigil at 6 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home.
Arthur J. Kinsella was born March 1, 1925 near Sauk Center, Minnesota to James and Cecelia (Pfeiffer) Kinsella.
Art married Patricia Addington in Denver, Colorado on April 22, 1966.
Art worked for Fargo Insurance as an investment advisor before starting his own company, Artco Specialty Co., in 1971. He retired and sold the company in 1988. Art and Pat were also owners of Catherine’s, a gift shop in downtown Fargo, from 1970-1988.
At the time of his death Art was the president of Uxbridge Oils, Inc. dealing in oil and gas royalties in North Dakota.
He enjoyed golf, reading (3 papers a day-he thought you would want to know that), dancing and NDSU sports. In the recent years, Cassie, his lovable dog, would sit on his lap and enjoy the games on TV with him.
Art served God in many ways unknown to others and lived his life with dignity and grace.
Art is survived by his caring wife of 46 years, Patricia; his daughter, Candice Shipman of Arkansas; one granddaughter, Macee Shipman and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mable Way, and Delores Kennedy; and brother, Donald Kinsella.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The Humane Society of Fargo-Moorhead and Friends of Chimbote (Father Jack) Box 717 West Fargo, ND 58078; or a charity of your choice.
