Arthur Cofell

Arthur Cofell, 84, of West Fargo, ND, died Monday, May 21, 2012, in his home under the care of Hospice surrounded by his family. Arthur was born January 3, 1928, to parents Floyd and Elizabeth Cofell in Montpelier, ND. After graduating from high school in Montpelier, he joined the US Air Force. Upon his discharge from the military, Arthur went back home to help on the family farm and later began working in construction. Arthur married Judy Rode on May 6, 1968, in Jamestown, ND. He enjoyed baseball and watching Jeopardy. He also loved telling jokes and playing pranks on his family and friends. Arthur is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Tammy (Floyd) Scouten, Spiritwood, ND; Lori Smith, Durango, CO; David Wagner; Robert Cofell, both of Marion, ND; Bonnie Seibert, Fargo, ND; Arthur Jr. (Angela) Cofell, Fargo, ND; Dawn (Justin) Mehlhoff, Mandan, ND; and Elizabeth (Jim) Motis, Moorhead, MN; brother, Bill (Lorraine) Cofell, St. Joseph, MN; and sisters, Lois Scouten, Eckelson, ND and Edith Brady, Woodbury, OR; and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marvin, Gordon and Eugene; sister, Liz; and grandson Logan. Funeral Service: Saturday, May 26th, 2012, at 10:00am at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home. Visitation: Friday, May 25th, 2012, from 5-7pm at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home. Prayer Service: Friday, May 25th, 2012, at 7pm at the funeral home. Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
