Arline (Kom) Dubs passed away peacefully on September 6, 2019 of natural causes. She was born in New Leipzig, ND on September 17, 1926, the daughter of Alfred and Olga Kom. She married Waldemar Dubs on October 3, 1948 and settled in Fargo. “Waldy” was a lifetime employee of Butler Machinery Company. Their son Russell was born in 1950 and daughter Beth (Calabrese) was born in 1959. Arline was a homemaker until 1966 when she joined the food service and catering division at NDSU. She greatly enjoyed her time at the University and was always a proud Bison. She continued to work there even after her official retirement and totaled almost 40 years of service.
She was predeceased by her Waldemar in 1993 and Russell in 2006. She cared for both of them through protracted illnesses.
She is survived by her daughter Beth and her husband Fred Calabrese of Fargo. She always thought of others and never asked anything for herself. Arline will be remembered as a quiet, unselfish, and truly gracious person.
