Arlene Molland, 71, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Triumph Hospital, Fargo. Arlene Mae Weiss was born August 15, 1937, to Elmer and Pauline (Gunsch) Weiss on their farm home near Zap, North Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She grew up near Zap, and graduated from Zap High School. After graduation, she moved to St. Paul, Minnesota, and lived with her grandmother and found employment. She was married to Gerald Beck on August 30, 1957, and they made their home in Watford City, North Dakota. On August 13, 1982, she married Robert Molland. Arlene worked mostly in banking and health care. She retired from Dakota Clinic on January 1, 1997. She loved to play golf, read and spend time with her friends. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was active in the Martha Circle. Arlene is survived by her husband, Robert, Fargo, ND; and two children, Valerie Crump, Calgary Alberta, CA; Craig Beck (Atiana Starck), Fargo, ND; step-children, Michael Molland, Anchorage, AK; Elizabeth Molland, Sparks, NV; Jeff (Rita) Molland, Alphretta, GA; John (Julie) Molland, Odessa, TX; grandchildren, Natalie and Megan Crump; Kyle and Christopher Beck; Becky Hensen; Teresa Molland; Brandon and Trayton Molland; two great-grandchildren, Clara Hesen and Marissa Petitgout; sister, Milda (Steve) Randall, Yakima, WA; mother, Pauline Weiss, Yakima, WA. Arlene was preceded in death by her father. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society. Memorial Service: 11AM, Saturday, November 15, 2008, at First Presbyterian Church, Fargo, ND.
