Arlene Joyce Gnoinsky passed away on Monday, February 24, 2014 surrounded by her family after suffering a stroke. Arlene was born March 15, 1934 to Albert and Olga Regstad in Hendrum, MN. She went to school in Hendrum, lived in Georgetown, MN and later graduated from Moorhead High School.
Arlene married James J. Gnoinsky on November 30, 1957. They made their home in Fargo. Arlene worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone (CenturyLink), retired after 30 years and then worked in the family business, Gnoinsky Brothers Construction until she retired again in 1999.
She was very proud of her seven grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling, quilting, crocheting, cards, bingo, dancing and spending time with family and friends. Arlene was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Telephone Pioneers and a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Judy Gnoinsky, Dale Gnoinsky, Sheri (Mike) Peterson all Fargo; Grandchildren, Sara Holman, Lisa Holman, Josh Gnoinsky, Aaron Gnoinsky, Amy Gnoinsky, Austin Cariveau, and Ashley Cariveau, all Fargo; a sister, Jean (Marvin) Jacobsen; brothers, Lowell (Shirley) Regstad, Gerald (Wanda) Regstad, both Fargo and Jim (Debbie) Regstad; Moorhead, MN as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James.
