Arleen Brunette, 80, Moorhead, MN, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, March 16, 2009, in her home in Moorhead. Arleen Clara Schroeder was born to Herbert and Alvina (Stempf) Schroeder in Glyndon, Minnesota. She was raised on the family farm. For many years, Arlene owned and operated the Brass Rail Bar in downtown Fargo, North Dakota. She worked at ManorCare Health Services in Fargo until retiring in 1990. Arleen enjoyed being with people and always had time for a chat with friends. However, her greatest joy was being with her family. Arleen is survived by her son, Don (Julie) Brunette, Fargo, ND; her four daughters, Linda (Paul) Ritzenthaler, St. Joseph, MN; Sharon (Daniel) Westman, Moorhead, MN; Lisa (Douglas) Walker, Walcott, ND; and Annette (Randy) Schultz, McLeod, ND; her grandchildren, Kari Lufkin; Krista Ritzenthaler, Sean Westman; Andrea Westman; Jessie James; Heather Brunette; Samantha Walker, Jackie Walker, Tiffiny Schmitz and Tia Schmitz; and four great-grandchildren, Emilee Lufkin, Lucas and Carter James, and Thomas Brunette. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Schroeder; and sisters, Annabelle Bell and Florence Fields.
