Ardis Carvell, 76, of Fargo, ND passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Eventide Fargo surrounded by her husband and her children.
Ardis June Carvell, daughter of Dale and Arlene Olmstead was born February 2, 1943, in Fargo, ND. She grew up in Fargo, graduated from Fargo Central High School and earned a degree in Home Economics from North Dakota State University. She married Milton Carvell on July 11, 1964 and they recently celebrated 55 years of marriage.
She spent many years in Home Makers Club, card clubs, assisting as a 4-H leader and was currently a member of a Red Hats group. Ardis cherished her relationships with her many dear friends. She was always there to make her famous brownies or other bars for those in need or just for her family. Ardis always had a story to tell, if you had something to say, she could top it. She and Milt would cheer from the stands and attend programs for their grandkids-raining, snowing, through it all. She and Milton spent many years at their lake home on Little Pine surrounded by great neighbors, family and friends. There were many special competitive games of Rummy with her grandchildren they will cherish forever. She will also be missed by Shooting Star Casino where she and Milt enjoyed trying to hit it big.
She is survived by her husband Milton, son Jeff (Stacey) Carvell, Farmington, MN, daughter, Deb (Todd) Reynolds, Horace, ND, daughter Jodi (Darren) Aamot, Inver Grove Heights, MN. She kept very busy keeping up with her seven grandchildren who she was so proud of, Tyler Aamot, Jordan Carvell, Hayden Reynolds, Cole Aamot, Ryan Reynolds, Ben Carvell and Ella Carvell. Her love was also spread to her many dogs and grand-dogs through the years, including Dakota and Daisy who will miss her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Arlene Olmstead and her brother Jerry Olmstead.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Eventide Fargo for the care and love given to our mom.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to a local animal shelter in Ardis's name.
