Anna Walth, 82, of Fargo, ND, died peacefully with her sons by her side on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Anna Manz was born April 22, 1936 on the farmstead near Mercer, ND to William and Carrie (Hoffer) Manz.
Anna married Wilbert Walth and together they made their home in Garrison, ND; Minot, ND; and settling in Fargo in 1968. Along with being a homemaker and mother, Anna was proud to have worked in food service for Blue Cross Blue Shield for nearly 20 years. She also spent time providing at-home care through MeritCare and serving samples at a variety of local stores. She was a social person who loved opportunities to help others.
Anna loved cooking, especially classic German dishes like knoephla soups, kuchen and strudel, and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Fargo.
Anna is survived by her sons, Gordon Walth, Fargo, ND; Daniel (Mark Isaksen) Walth, Washington, DC; stepsons, Charles Walth; David (Patricia) Walth; Steven Walth; grandchildren, Andreas and Eden; step-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Jeffery, Jolene, Jeremy, Jordan, Mathew, Michael, Dawn and Darcy; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert; son, Ronald; step-son, Jerry; three sisters, Bertha, Alice, and Lydia; and three brothers, Walter, Harold, and Edward; and step-grandson, David.
