Angie Sorvaag

Angie died October 27, 2008, in her home at Argusville, ND, sur¬rounded by her family, after a long battle with cancer. Angie was born April 26, 1922, in Fargo to George and Mabel Walkin¬shaw. She graduated from Argus¬ville High School and Dakota Busi¬ness College. She worked for several years at WJ Lane and International Harvester Company. On November 25, 1950, she mar¬ried Harold Sorvaag and they made their home on their farm at Argus¬ville. She was involved in helping on the farm and raising her children. She and Harold remained on the farm, until the time of her death. She was active at Osterdalen Lu¬theran Church and Argusville Mis¬sion Circle. She enjoyed entertain¬ing friends and family, visiting their lake home on Tamarac Lake, and traveling to Arizona. Other interests included gardening, scrapbooking, and being involved with children and grandchildren’s activities. Angie is survived by her husband, Harold; son, Charles (Susan) Sorvaag, Argusville; daughter, Laurie (Hans) Wallin, Argusville; son, Ronald (Car¬la) Sorvaag, Fargo; brother, Everett (Irene) Walkinshaw, Argusville; sis¬ter; Mildred Walkinshaw, Fargo; sis¬ter-in-law, Esther Griesbach, Fargo; sister-in-law, Olive Kolsrud, Sioux Falls, SD; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mabel Walkinshaw; and her brother; Warren Walkinshaw. Visitation: Wednesday, October 29, 2008, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Hanson- Runsvold Funeral Home, 215 S. 7th Street, Fargo, N.D. Prayer Service: Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at 7:00 p.m., at Hanson-Runsvold. Funeral: Thursday, October 30, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, Fargo. Burial: Osterdalen Cemetery, Harwood, N.D. Memorials preferred to Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, Hospice of Red River Valley, and Osterdalen Cemetery.
