Angie E. Buchanan, 80, of Cottonwood, AZ, formerly of Fargo, ND, passed away into Heaven’s gates on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood.
Angeline Evelyn Kading was born October 11, 1933 in Borup, MN to Arthur and Evelyn (Kappel) Kading. She grew up in Borup, attending her first six years of school there, after which she attended school and graduated from Felton Public School in Felton, MN. Following graduation, she attended Dakota Business College in Fargo.
On February 14, 1953, Angie married William C. Buchanan, Sr. in Moorhead, MN.
Angie worked for the telephone company in Fargo for 3 years after which she became a homemaker raising their children. She later worked cleaning homes and as a messenger at St. Luke’s Hospital for 20 years. They moved to Camp Verde, AZ and subsequently moved to Cottonwood, AZ, where they were currently living.
Angie is survived by her husband, Willie; son, William C. (Valerie) Buchanan, Jr., Fargo, ND; daughters, Barbara (Gary) Anderson, Fargo, ND; Mary (James) Kopp, Scottsdale, AZ; Kathleen Buchanan, Fargo, ND; Deborah (James) Belcourt, West Fargo, ND; Brenda Lavold, West Fargo, ND; Diane (David) Halvorson, Fargo, ND; Laura (Jeff) Dahl, Fargo, ND; two brothers, Vernon A. (Jeanne) Kading, Fargo, ND; David A. (Nancy) Kading, Fargo, ND; four sisters, Joyce E. (Robert) Kenney, Fargo, ND; Arlene (Wally) Waddel, Seaside, CA; Joan (Jerome) Ertelt, Valley City, ND; Marian (Zak) Aberle, Cottonwood, AZ; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Timothy; and one brother, Marvin Kading.
