Alpha M. Anderson, 92, died August 24, 2013 at Eventide Sheyenne Crossings Nursing Home, West Fargo.
Alpha Mae Ordway was born May 8, 1921 in Lawton, ND, the daughter of Ernest & Nellie (Purdy) Ordway.
Married Irving "Bud" Dale Anderson May 7, 1955 in Detroit Lakes, MN. They lived in rural Harwood for 38 years. In 2000 she moved to West Fargo.
In the 1940’s, she worked for Eddy's Bakery in Grand Forks. In 1948 she opened up her own beauty shop in Lakota. She worked for Dayton's Red River Inn at West Acres from 1973 to 1984.
She is survived by two sons, Orlin, West Fargo, Lester (Tamera), Hopkins, MN; a daughter, Kathleen Anderson, Fargo; two grandchildren, Cole (Jessica) Saint Louis Park, MN and Brittany (Travis) Glaser, Hopkins, MN; one great-grandchild, Bentley Glaser, Hopkins, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irving; parents, Nellie & Ernest; five brothers, Ernest (Pat), Edwin, Robert (Bob), Leonard, Wilfred (Bill) and one sister, Rose Petersson and many nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held.
