Alma Stenslie, 88, of Detroit Lakes, MN, died Monday, February 7, 2011, at Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, MN. Alma was born June 8, 1922, near Bottineau, North Dakota to Anund and Othilia Torgerson. On July 28, 1942, she married Carl Stenslie of McVille, North Dakota. They lived in Grand Forks, Bottineau and Fargo/Moorhead, retiring in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, in 1985. Alma owned and operated Olde Homestead Antiques in Fargo and Detroit Lakes for many years during the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Alma recently resided at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. She is survived by three sons, Clyde; Layne (Bege); and Keith; two daughters, Barbara (Dale) Wilkes; and Cheryl (Larry) Gray; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Tena Torgerson; and many nieces and nephews. Alma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; son, Kevin; brothers and their spouses, Clarence (Amanda); Arnold (Margaret); Knute; Alvin; and Llewlyn (Irene); sisters and their spouses, Della (Hans) Hermanson; Elma; Lydia (Kermit) Hawkinson and Mildred (Elmer) Lindstrom; brothers-in-law and their spouses, Leonard (Myrtle) Stenslie; Kermit (Carol) Stenslie; Albin (Stella) Stenslie; sisters-in-law and their spouses, Myrtle (George) Opsahl; Ruth (Sterling) Talbot; Eleanor (Arnold) Sateren and Doris (Alan) Taylor. Funeral Service: Friday, February 11, 2011, at 10:00 AM, at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church. Burial: Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead, MN
