Allan Lawrence Perry, of Fargo, ND, age 83, went to his home of eternal life on Monday, May 11, 2015 in his home with loving members of his family by his side.
He was born on January 8, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict, and upon his return attended and graduated with a business degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Allan worked as a salesman for General Electric in Fargo for 25 years.
Allan enjoyed many things in life. He loved to fish, travel, read, and spend time with family and friends. He was a faithful member of his church and a loving and devoted husband to his wife Bergit, with whom he shared 59 wonderful years. He was also a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Allan was preceded in death by his cherished mother, Katharine Miller.
Allan is survived by his loving wife, Bergit; and his admiring children, Sue (Mark) Lein, Camarillo, CA; Kathy (Eldon) Anderson, Las Vegas, NV; Michael (Rhonda) Perry, Milton, FL; David Perry, Minneapolis, MN; and Linda (Jim) Pokorney, Grand Rapids, MI. He is also survived by his adoring grandchildren, Sarah (Jim) Sadowski; Jason (Stacy) Lein; Ryan Lein; Alex Lein; Blake Anderson; Grant Anderson; Kristina Anderson; Jeffrey (Kat) Perry; Nathan (Kat) Perry; Kimberly Perry; Annelise Perry; Chloe Perry; Ashlee Perry; Sam Pokorney; and Sophie Pokorney. Allan will also be missed by his 8 great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial and celebration of Allan’s life early this summer at a date to be determined.
