Aleksander Laid passed away December 9, 2019 at his home in Fargo, ND.
Aleksander was born September 14, 1926 to Vasili and Anna Laid in Petcere, Estonia. He grew up there and later moved to Germany during WWII. He met Erica Kenimagi in Germany, where they wed on December 7, 1946. Together they emigrated to the United States and settled in Fargo, ND in 1950. He worked as a brick layer in Fargo for several construction companies. Erica died September 15, 1997.
Aleksander is survived by his two sons, Raivo Laid of St. Paul, MN and Vel Laid (Kathy) of Fargo, ND; two grandsons, Chris Laid of Moorhead, MN and Nick Laid of Moorhead, MN; his great-granddaughter, Samantha Laid of Moorhead, MN and one grand-niece, Margit Haimre of Fargo, ND.
