Alan Leroy Brelje

Alan Brelje, 53, of Fargo, ND, died unexpectedly of natural causes at home on Friday, October 9, 2015.

Alan LeRoy Brelje was born January 19, 1962 to LeRoy and Elvera (Dahlke) Brelje in Glencoe, MN. He graduated from Glencoe High School in 1980, and from Alexandria Technical College in 1982.

Alan married Janice Oelfke on May 7, 1983 in Glencoe, MN. They moved to Fargo, ND where Al began a career working in many different manufacturing jobs. They were blessed with two children, Larissa and Josh.

Al’s church was very important to him, and his strong faith was obvious to those who knew him. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends. Al was known for his sense of humor and generous spirit.

Al is survived by his wife of 32 years, Janice; children, Larissa Brelje, Hendricks, MN; Josh Brelje, Fargo, ND; sisters, Deb (Rod) Tessmer, Glencoe, MN; Barb (Louie) Tessmer, Glencoe, MN; brothers-in-law, Rick (Linda) Oelfke, Brooklyn Center, MN; Russ (Dee) Oelfke, Houston, TX; Joel (Lori) Oelfke, Helena, MT; numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and close friends, Kevin and Bonnie Lein.

He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Elvera.

Memorials are preferred to the Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund.
