Aaron Jon Wolford, 34, passed away at home in Moorhead, Minnesota, on Monday, November 21, 2022. Aaron was born on April 13, 1988, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to Kent and Becky Wolford. When Aaron was 2, the family moved to Moorhead, where he grew up and attended school.

While growing up, Aaron played many different sports. Football and basketball became his favorites. Aaron spent much of his free time focusing on sports by practicing and attending various football and basketball camps. Aaron even had his own fan club that cheered him on and decorated the gym and fields with "Unleash the Wolf" posters.

Aaron was well known for his kind personality. He had an incredible ability to get along with anyone. Aaron spent a great deal of time making friends and creating lifelong relationships. He simply accepted everyone, no matter the differences in individual thoughts or beliefs. People were simply drawn toward Aaron because of his caring and welcoming nature.

Aaron was a big believer in self-expression. He was proud of his tattoos, piercings, and occasional mohawks. He also set himself apart with jump suits, top hats, band t-shirts, and studded belts. Growing up in a loyal Vikings home, his appreciation for Brett Favre influenced him to become a proud Packers fan. He was not afraid to be exactly who he was, and his family loved him for it.

During high school, Aaron started his own business, "Wolford and Sons," a local lawn mowing operation in which he "hired" his brother Taylor. Aaron was also employed at Cashwise in Moorhead, like the rest of his brothers.

Following high school, Aaron pursued a few options to further his education. First, going to Moorhead Technical College, then moved on to ABC Dog Training. Once he realized higher education was not for him, he focused his efforts on getting back into the workforce. He spent a number of years at DS Beverage, then Chilis, and finally moved back to Cashwise, where he was the night manager for many years.

Aaron had a deep love for his niece (Livia-5) and two nephews (Hayes-2 and Kasyn-2). He would often present them with "unique" presents such as huge unicorns, lava lamps, clocks, and hundreds of claw machine toys. His unquestionable love for them will be greatly missed.

Aaron also was a huge fan of animals. He loved both of his dogs, Zoey and Ekho, and spent many hours with them. The love those dogs had for him was undeniable.

Aaron battled with mental health issues. Anxiety, depression, and addiction were a constant during his adult life. He accessed treatment programs and counselors to help him through his struggles. He worked hard at his sobriety during his life, but addiction had a deep grip on him that never let go. Now he can finally be at peace.

Aaron is survived by his parents, Kent and Becky; his brothers Lucas (Karla), Taylor (Laura), and Kenton, his niece Livia and nephews Hayes and Kasyn; his grandpa Charles Guy along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Kenneth (Duke) and Verna Wolford and grandma Adeline Guy.

Our family would like to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time. We truly appreciate the words of comfort and generous gifts.

Memorials and donations in Aaron's name may be made to 4 Luv of Dog Rescue in Moorhead, Minnesota.
