Ardith Geraldine “Gerry” Gadberry was born September 18, 1921, at Buxton, North Dakota to George William and Amanda (Thompson) Keller. She attended grade school at the local one room Belmont #2 and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1939. While attending High School she met the love of her life, Herbert H. Gadberry and they were married shortly after high school graduation. Gerry was active in their farming business and took care of all home duties. Gerry was active in the Hendrum PTA, Eastern Star, Presbyterian Church of Hendrum, Ladies Auxiliary and many other community organizations. Gerry loved to go bowling with her friends at the Sunset Lanes in Moorhead and was a true competitor.

In 1980 Gerry and Herb moved to Fargo, ND to be closer to the medical facilities for Herb’s cancer treatment. While in Fargo Gerry became very active at First Presbyterian Church Fargo, PEO and Music Club. Gerry loved her church, attended regularly, served as an elder and participated in other activities. She lived in her own condo up until October of 2017 when she then moved to Touchmark in Fargo.

Family was very important to Gerry, she loved to watch the grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting, music, dance, acting and summer activities. She was a Great-Grandmother as well as a GREAT Grandmother.

Gerry is survived by her children, Sandra Hedlund, Barrington, RI; Wayne (Cherie) Gadberry, Fargo, ND; and Kimberly (Roger) Madson, Fargo, ND; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Douglas, Berryville, VA; and Joan Williams, Kingston, MA; and many nieces and nephews.
