Heaven opened the gate for our angel Shauna Renee on January 27, 2022. She passed away peacefully at her home. Shauna was born to Grant and Shirley Holmen on January 10, 1981.
Shauna was baptized and confirmed at Olivet Lutheran Church and has remained a member. Shauna graduated from Fargo South in 2000. During her junior and senior years of high school, she enjoyed traveling with the youth church groups and school orchestra. Her travels took her to the southern united states, including a tour of Graceland, Seattle, Chicago, and many trips to Minneapolis. After graduating, Shauna enjoyed her work as a nurse tech working in memory care. Shauna then ventured out as a traveling tech to Vermont and Philadelphia. During those excursions, Shauna went to New York and New Hampshire. At one point, she even attempted parasailing. She also enjoyed trips to California and Sacramento.
Shauna enjoyed music, watching Cops on TV, and hockey, especially the Blackhawks and the Fighting Hawks. She cherished her Cocker Spaniel, Brew, who was her faithful companion.
Shauna's health began to deteriorate in 2018 until the day of her death. She fought through many health battles but would always fight her way back with strength and faith.
Shauna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Vern and Margery Hosman and Joseph and Murial Holmen; her uncles, Joel Holmen and George Mallinger; cousin, Roger Pershke, and cousin-in-law, Nathan Johnson.
She is survived by her parents, Grant and Shirley; her younger sister, Brianna (Gene) Schneeberger; brothers, Andrew (Elyssa) Holmen, David (Julie) Jelliff; nieces, Tatum, and Colby; nephews, Oscar, Joseph, Bennett, Tony, Parker, and Cade; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as her special companion, Brew.
