Michael Edwardson

Michael Norman Edwardson was born March 20, 1964, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Norman and Jensine (Overmoe) Edwardson. He grew up in Fargo, attending Fargo Public Schools until he graduated from Fargo South High School in 1982. Upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Army for a short time before transferring to the Air Force, where he served until 1992. In 1993, he joined the ND Air National Guard to complete his military career. Mike married Glenda Beck on December 27, 1987, in Sacramento, California. Together they raised three children. When first married, they lived in California, Japan and Texas, finally making their home in Fargo in 1993. Mike worked for the U. S. Postal Service from 1993, until the present. He enjoyed being with his family, hunting and fishing. He was an enthusiastic Twins and Vikings fan and enjoyed playing practical jokes. We lost Mike on Friday, March 6, 2010, in Fargo. Mike is survived by his wife, Glenda; parents, Norman and Jensine; two sons, Christopher (19) and Timothy (18); and a daughter, Amanda (13), all of Fargo, ND; a brother, James Edwardson, Fargo, ND; two sisters, Kathy (David) Harildstad, Carrington, ND; and Jodi (Paul) Kosienski, Fargo, ND; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Funeral Service: Thursday, March 11, 2010, at 10:00 AM, at First United Methodist Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation: Wednesday, March 10, 2010, from 7-8 PM, at the church with a Prayer Service at 8:00 PM. Burial: Kvernes Cemetery, Carrington, ND.
