Kimberly (Kim) Colvin was ushered into the presence of the Lord on January 26, 2021.
Kim was born to Robert and Sharon on October 24, 1958 in Fargo, ND. Kim graduated in 1977 from Fargo North High. It was there that she met the love of her life, Jerome. Kim and Jerome were married on June 9, 1979. They spent the next 41 years growing together and loving each other. It is from their union that came, what Kim considered her two greatest blessings, her daughter Lynda born in 1981 and her son Joseph born in 1984. Kim was able to be a stay at home mom and homeschool her children.
Kim loved to spend her time studying God's word and history. She especially enjoyed local history and exploring her Norwegian, German, Jewish roots. She loved classic movies and vintage decor - some of her favorite times were searching for antique treasures at thrift stores and garage sales with friends and family. Kim could talk to anyone and would immediately welcome them into her heart. She would talk for hours with her best friends Pat and Beccy. She loved crafts; cross stitch, plastic canvas and card making. What she most loved about crafting was giving her projects away to others.
Kim was a very active member of the faith community in the FM area until her health started to fail. It was her life goal, even then, to share Jesus with everyone. She is best remembered as being everyone's friend.
Kim is preceded in death by her grandparents, Arnold and Alvina Skarvold, George and Marvel Korum, her step-dad, Earl Williams and her mother-in-law, Bernelda Colvin.
Kim is survived by her husband, Jerome Colvin, her daughter, Lynda Colvin, her son, Joseph (Heather) Colvin, her mother, Sharon Williams, her father, Robert Korum, her father-in-law, Lester Colvin, her aunt, Jeanette (Bill) Needham, her cousins, Shari Needham and Janna Mason and their families, her brothers and sisters-in-law, her nine nieces and nephews and their families.
A celebration of life will be scheduled later this summer.
The family would appreciate assistance with medical bills in lieu of flowers. If able to financially assist a gofundme account has been set up in Kim's memory.
