On Tuesday December 26, 2023 God plucked a strong, vibrant and beautiful rose from his garden who was a cut above the rest. Sherry Lynn Mulvaney aka Sherr Bear, 66, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family in Harwood, ND.
Sherry was born on December 17, 1957 in Moorhead, MN as the baby of the family to Maurice and Beatrice (Johnson) Giere. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1976. Sherry married her long time middle school love, Monty Mulvaney on June 13, 1981 in Moorhead, MN and had three children, Tina, Michael, and Kelly while residing in Harwood, ND. Sherry worked as a convenience store manager for the majority of her career. She was also able to spend a few years working at Evergreen Assisted Living where her mother was a resident.
Sherry always had a great love for the lakes and was very blessed to be able to have a lake place she and her family frequented each weekend in the summer. Later in life she and Monty enjoyed their summers at the lake in Minnesota and their winters at the lake in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Sherry also loved to watch and feed the birds wherever she was. When she wasn’t busy feeding the birds you could find her taking care of her fourth child, Maximus, her paperanian. Along with all of this, family was her number one hobby in life and she was blessed to have had the chance to watch her grandchildren grow up and get to meet her great grandson.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Celeste, Shirley, and Luann.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Monty, son, Michael Mulvaney (Tanya), daughters, Tina Sweet and Kelly (Pawan) Katiyar, son-in-law, David Johnson, granddaughters, Aleecia (Jesse) Grover, Keerstin Johnson, Charissa Johnson, Caden Robinson and Piper Robinson, great grandson, Axel Johnson, sister, Janeal (Steve) Knox, brother, Daniel (Nancy) Giere, brother-in-law, David Jansen, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
