Sharla R. Gahner died on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND surrounded by her family.

Sharla R. Gahner (Fisher) was born on November 30, 1962, the daughter of Lynn and Frances Fisher (Peplinski) in Jamestown, ND. She grew up in the Jamestown and Montpelier area and attended Jamestown High School. Sharla met Doug Gahner in October of 1977 and married in 1980 in Jamestown, ND where they lived. In 1986 they moved to Windsor, CO and moved back to Jamestown, ND in the summer of 1987. They moved to Fargo, ND where they live now. Sharla and Doug had two children, Tasha M. Gahner and Jamey D. Gahner.

Sharla started working at Eventide Nursing Home in Moorhead, MN in 1988 as a CNA. She took pride in caring for others.

Sharla loved camping, fishing, and being around her family. She loved taking trips for vacations. She also loved being with her grandchildren and making their favorite dishes including tater tot hotdish and meatballs. She loved animals including riding horses as a child and loved mourning doves. Lilacs were her favorite flower. She enjoyed working with her grandkids getting her flowerbed ready each spring.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas H. Gahner; daughter, Tasha M. Gahner; son, Jamey D. Gahner; two grandchildren, Alexis N. Gahner and Hunter D. Gahner; two brothers, Dale Fisher and Doug Fisher, both of Jamestown, ND; three sisters, Sue Heimann (Fisher) of Jamestown, ND, Sandy Azure (Fisher) of Fargo, ND, Sheila Michel (Fisher) of Jamestown, ND; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lynn Fisher; mother, Frances Fisher (Peplinski); brother, Dennis Fisher; grandparents; and aunts and uncles.
